Our Stance on Unauthorized Trails

Unauthorized trail building of any kind is prohibited.  Any unauthorized trails that are found will be reported to the respective land management agency and immediately closed off.  We will work with our land managers to determine their fate.  Ultimately it maybe decided that we allow nature to reclaim over fixing any issues that may have arisen.

As an organization, we work hard with our land management partners to provide the community trail access.  Most of the trails we have are on conservation lands and we need to respect that.  Any unauthorized building could cause harm to our land management relationships which impacts trail access, as well as damage to wildlife, ecosystems, and plant communities.

Please report any unauthorized trails to your local trail organization so that they can deal with things appropriately and swiftly.
