The Beginning

For those of you that don’t know Swamp as an organization, you may ask why we do events like Squiggy?

  • Sending you home with smiles and memories is only the beginning.

  • Swamp has been building and maintaining trails for the past 35 years.

Fundraisers along with volunteers are necessary for us to continue to do so.
As your hosts for Squiggy, we wish you the greatest experience possible, on your bikes, feet and having fun, with satisfaction knowing that you have taken part in supporting our trails and that you leave the event eager to return in 2024. Yes, planning for 2024 is already in the works.

Know where you are if possible
Download and be familiar with Trail forks. Know how to use it. This app will help 911
locate someone in distress. Trail forks has a GPS pin feature that can be used to get a
person's lat/long location. -->

Campground rules

  • Familiarize yourself with campground rules. (link to rules)

  • Animals must be always kept on a lease. No exceptions.

  • If more than 2 vehicles are parked on a site please do not obstruct traffic flow or safety.

  • Do not obstruct the ability of parked cars to move.

  • Tent sites are festival camping which means you may be sharing your site with a new
    friend or two. Please contact to make arrangements.

  • Campfires are allowed in campfire rings only.

  • Our volunteers are not your cleanup crew. Please dispose of your own trash and leave
    your campsite clean. We will remember you. If we must clean up after you, you will not
    be invited back.

  • There are dumpsters located in the campground. Do not bring your old couch but
    please feel free to deposit all camping trash before you leave, along with anything you
    generate throughout the weekend.

Pick up your bike numbers, meal tickets and wristbands when you register. You
must return to registration to check back in after the ride and get your swag bag
which will have your after meal and beverage tickets, t-shirts and other goodies.

There is one sag stop halfway through the course (trail) Be sure to pick up your token
Please thank all the volunteers. They are working hard to see that you have a good time and memorable experience.
Should you have an emergency, please make sure you have a list of contact numbers with you. For medical emergencies, please call 911.
There will be music in the air, cold beverages and food waiting for your return.
Please have your lunch tickets handy for your dining selection. A special event
menu is waiting.

Judge and Gavel

Runners RULES

1. This is not a chip timed event. Runners must be able to independently complete a trail run/walk on the terrain of Starkey Park within the stated cut-off times. This terrain includes sand, mud, roots and mulch.

2. Proper trail attire is suggested to include trail shoes, hydration bottles, bug repellant and sunscreen. Please bring your own headlights or other lighting sources.

3. Participants should bring their own nutrition and hydration for the trails since aid will be limited.

4. Runners should follow the park rules. Please clean up after yourself. Please yield to bikes and cars. Please use portable toilets and Starkey Park toilets (no public urination).

5. All runners on the course must meet a minimum age requirement. Five years of age for the 5K, and eight years of age for the 10K.

6. Runners share the responsibility to help out other runners in need. If you see something, say something.

7. Runners must bring their own medications and be responsible for administering as needed.

8. For the Sunset run, runners must exit the park by 8pm on Friday night unless the overnight camping option has been purchased. For the Sunrise run, runners cannot enter the park on Saturday until 6am unless the overnight camping option has been purchased.

9. Each runner must wear their racing bib during the event.

10. Each runner on this course must be registered to be a part of this event.

Dog On The Course Rules:
1. Dog owners must keep their dogs on non-retractable leashes at all times. The leashes must be 6ft or less.


2. Each dog owner must clean up after their dog.

3. All dogs must be up to date on their vaccinations.

4. Each dog that attends this event must be socially friendly to other dogs, humans, and possible other Starkey Park “pets”.

5. Each dog owner has the responsibility of providing proper hydration and nutrition for their dog.

6. Each dog owner must be cautious of the bikers, runners, and other possible non-participants while on the trails.

7. Each dog must wear their racing bib.

8. Each dog must be registered to participate in this event.

Event Set Up Instructions:

  • Your site will be identified and marked for you.

  • You may drive in to set up.

  • No vehicles are to be left in the Vendor Village if they are not part of

  • your setup. Please Park in the vendors’ parking area.

  •  You must register at the Swamp hub registration table.


  •  Raffles will be held at the stage on Sunday starting at noon

  • Please provide details about donated items so that we can advertise

  • them as well as you. We would like information no later than Oct 15 st .

  • Send information to the email listed above.

  • Swamp will not be responsible for delivering to winners. Please be sure you have contact information on the raffle tickets to make delivery or pick up arrangements between winners and vendors.

Drawings and Lucky Winners
Atomik Wheels has donated a set of carbon wheels, your choice for
mountain biking, gravel riding or road. The MSRP is $2500.00 and includes
berd spokes and either I9 or Profile Racing Hubs. The lucky winner will be
drawn at noon on Sunday. The event site has the per chance information onit. You do not need to be present to win. If you are not present, Atomik will contact you and you can arrange to pick up your wheels.

Raffles will be held at the stage on Sunday starting at noon.

Swamp will not be responsible for delivering to winners. Please be sure you
have contact information on the raffle tickets to make delivery or pick up
arrangements between winners and vendors.

Tickets that are purchased online will have a contact record associated
with each ticket. Be sure to fill out your contact details accurately if you are
not at the event.
