Trail Maintenance Volunteers

"Volunteer today, what do you say?  If not you, then who?  Who will be the one, to get it done?  Why not tell yourself, I will be the one?"

-Bob Wilcox Brooksville Mafia Boss/Croom Trail Boss

Swamp Mountain Bike Club maintains 4 local trail systems: Balm Boyette Scrub Preserve, Croom Mountain Biking Trails, Flatwoods Wilderness Park, Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park, and coming soon, Riverfront Preserve in Temple Terrace. That's over 100 miles of natural surface trails that require periodic trimming, mowing, and brush removal.

To keep our trails safe and fun, we dedicate one Saturday per month to each trail system. The typical workday begins at 8am and ends at noon. Swamp provides tools, cold drinks and lunch, and volunteers who put in enough hours earn a "Swamp Trail Crew" wicking t-shirt to wear at workdays.
