For the past month, a trail crew has been designing and constructing the first new trail to be built at the Balm Boyette Scrub Preserve since 2009! The new 0.8 mile addition will be an intermediate level singletrack that starts near Mount Boyette / Canyon and terminates near the exit of North Abyss and the entrance of the exiting Serpentine trail, thus bypassing N Abyss. The Boyette Trail Crew and other volunteers from the mountain bike community led by Wes Eubank have been bringing in supplies and giving their time clearing and shoring up the trail two days a week since early March. The sweat equity of the hardworking volunteers of Swamp and your membership support has helped bring this new trail segment into being!
